As many of you may recall from earlier in the term we sent cards to all residents at St Rumbold’s Court as part of our ‘Bee Kind’ Mental Health Awareness Week work. We have received a number of lovely responses over the last week. Here is a selection for you to read. As you can see residents were thrilled to receive our efforts and the children in the key worker bubble, who went in to mass production to get enough for everyone, have loved hearing back.
We also received some lovely words from Jacky, who works at St Rumbold’s.
“Please let ALL of the children know the following: that even though you may not have received a response it is not because our residents did not appreciate your cards and letters. I have done 5 nightshifts recently and have had phone calls and visits to the office from very very happy and extremely grateful older people. Some have been very emotional in telling me how they did not feel forgotten. What you all did was remarkably special and it continues to give them hope, make them smile and not feel so alone. Thank you so much Bracken Leas pupils. You should be very proud of yourselves and your school! Much love Jacky and residents at St Rumbolds Court x”
