Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter where we share relevant information with you about what has been happening here at Bracken Leas and events planned in future weeks.

Welcome back to a new term and a new school year here at Bracken Leas. Please take a minute to read though our newsletter which contains lots of useful information about key dates and activities within school as well as links to news stories from our website.

Our first week back has been incredibly busy and school is buzzing. Our new Early Years children are settling in well and it has been wonderful to be able to hold school assemblies once more. Today Year 1 have been enjoying Pirate Day, whilst in Year 6 the children have been focusing on their topic for this term which is Dinosaurs, specifically looking art DNA this afternoon. On Monday Year 4 are having a World War II day and we look forward to sharing photos with you.

Tuesday 19th October & 3rd November @9.30 – Open Morning for Early Years Starters September 2022 (TBC)

Wednesday 20th October @14.30 – KS1 ABLE Assembly

Thursday 21st October – Individual Photos

Friday 22nd October @ 14.30 – KS2 ABLE Assembly

Friday 22nd October – Last Day of Term

New Term begins Monday 1st November 2021

The Voice Kids – is your child a super talented singer?

The Voice Kids will be returning to our screens on ITV in 2022 and they’re looking for super talented singers and duos aged 7-14* who have what it takes to take over The Voice Kids stage.

Term Dates 2020-2021

Early Years are still in need of donations of the following items;

Shawls, capes, Sheer scarves
Walking sticks
Baskets (picnic or carry)
Wigs, Glasses, Sunglasses
Fabric for wrapping round
Small suitcases and bags, briefcase
Good condition, appropriate age musical instruments
Things like train timetables

Disco ball
Waistcoats and jackets

You can hand them over to Early years staff directly or through the school office.
