Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd March – Easter Treat Collection
Brackley Community Larder is coordinated by Claire Readman. Over the last year Claire and her team of local volunteers have delivered thousands of food boxes to local families in need within Brackley and local villages.
The food box contents are sourced from the Milton Keynes branch of FareShare, the UK’s biggest surplus food redistribution charity in partnership with SOFEA, a charity which works with young people to develop their skills and employability.
Any individual or household struggling to afford or obtain food as a result of the Covid-19 emergency may register for a food box. For example, people who are shielding or self-isolating due to ill health or disability and unable to get to the shops or households on low or dramatically reduced incomes as a result of the virus. Contents of boxes vary from week to week but typically contain a mix of dry goods, tins and some fresh produce.
We are collecting in school until Tuesday 23rd March to provide some Easter Treats for these families and elderly folk living in assisted living accommodation across Brackley and your donations will be very well received.
