This week many of our children took part in the Cluster Cross Country Event at Brackley Juniors. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take part for the first time since 2019 with some great performances across the board.
- Year 1/2 Race – We placed 3rd in the girl’s event
- Year 3/4 Race – We placed 2nd & 3rd in the boy’s event and 1st in the girl’s event
- Year 5/6 Race – We placed 3rd in the boys’ event and 1st in the girl’s event.
These result culminated in us placing 1st overall in the Year 3/4 race, 2nd overall in the Year 5/6 race and 3rd overall in the Year 1/2 race. Well done to everyone for taking part.
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Bracken LeasÂ
Today we are pleased to launch our plans for celebrating the Platinum Jubilee here at Bracken Leas. We will be celebrating as a school with a whole school picnic on Friday 27th May. Children will be invited to wear red, white and blue on this day and to create their own Jubilee Crown to wear with prizes for the most tip top crowns across the school. This event will not replace the summer picnic which will take place before the end of the summer term and to which parents will be invited to join us.Â
