Year 3 are enjoying their Roald Dahl Day today with lots of themed activities.

Another busy term is coming to an end and there has certainly been a buzz around Bracken Leas. From day trips to residentials, Red Nose Day to World Book Day, it definitely seems that some normality has returned to school life at last.

The term began with World Book Day, with everyone dressing up as their favourite character and lots of World Book Day activities within school. During this week our Year 1 children visited Warwick Castle where we had a lovely day exploring and learning about the features of castles as part of their topic work.

We have recently welcomed visitors into school in the form of NMPAT Woodwind Musicians and Bikeability. We are looking forward to visits from Brackley Wildlife Trust, Brackley Morris Dancers and DHL Truck Awareness, with a 45ft truck, next term.

A couple of weeks ago our Year 4 children headed off on their residential to North Norfolk where they had an amazing time, helped in part by the beautiful weather. Next term our Year 6 children will be going on their week long adventure to PGL Liddington, more on that as it happens.

We want to take this opportunity to say a big thankyou to FOBL for their £20.22 for 2022 challenge which has raised a tremendous amount of money for our school. There is a Spring Fair planned on 29th April, Warrior Challenge on the 17th June and a Disco on the 30th June, more details to follow on both of those events soon.

Thank-you to our parents and carers for your support and understanding in all areas, Covid continues to present us with operational challenges but we are hugely grateful for your enthusiasm, donations and costume making skills!

We look forward to welcoming the children back to school for our Summer term which begins on Tuesday 19th April. As the weather warms up, please ensure that children have a water bottle, hat and waterproof coat with them. Where possible apply sunscreen prior to them coming to school or send older children in with some to keep in their drawer. Please note that we will be closed on Monday 2nd May for the early May Bank Holiday.

We are currently planning our Jubilee celebrations for the end of next term, more details about these will be released soon.

There is currently a part time cleaner vacancy at our school. Please click on the link for more details on how to apply.
