We have enjoyed a busy half-term in school and feel very fortunate to have completed the last seven weeks without further challenges and disruption. Attendance has remained high in school and I thank you for all your support being extra cautious with your children and illness. It has enabled us to keep school in full operation and the children have become increasingly settled in the routines.

Next term promises to be exceptionally busy, with a number of day trips planned, year group assemblies, year 6 leavers events and the rescheduled Warrior Challenge. You can find details of these in individual email communication to parents as well as full calendar information on our school website.  https://www.brackenleasschool.co.uk/calendar/

We look forward to the children’s return to school on Monday 7th June.

Year 5 have been creating Dragon’s Eyes, linked to their topic work on Vikings and myths/legends. Early Years children have been very keen to show off their summer clothes today, here are a few photos.

The Warrior Challenge 2021, now planned for 18th June, is now only 3 weeks away.

The Brackley Leisure Centre team will be coming along to help with warm up, music and set up and management of the course.  One of our parents, Mr Dos Santos, has invented an incredible slip slide for the children to negotiate as part of the course, we can’t wait to see it!

This year FOBL has an ambitious target of raising £7000. We are hopeful that this will be the final push in enabling us to replace the existing trim trail over the next few months, complementing all of the hard work that is taking place redeveloping the Eco Area, creating an exciting and stimulating outdoor environment for the children to use. Timings for the day remain as per previous communications.

We hope that every child will take part and enjoy getting wet and muddy. Photos and video footage will be shared throughout the day on Social Media.

Here is a copy of the Warrior Challenge letter and Sponsorship Form for further information.
