Dear parents and carers,

Thank you for all your donations so far for the Brackley Foodbank. The House Captains have enjoyed wheeling out their shopping trollies this week to collect in the donations and we will have one last push on Monday before our Harvest Assembly.

I would like to thank Mrs Wright and Mrs Gascoigne for their hard work in organising a fabulous Healthy Heart Assembly for the children. It was really informative and interactive- all the children really enjoyed it. The British Heart Foundation Jump Rope For Heart certainly raised the pulses as the children showed their competitive edge to see how many jumps they could do in 5 minutes. The justgiving page is still open for donations

We started our extra-curricular clubs this week and there was a positive buzz from the children attending. Please can you remind the children of their commitment to attendance each week as we do have waiting lists. If there is an exceptional reason that they can’t attend one week, please ensure that you contact the school office to let them know.

Finally, our Year 6 football teams represented us at a tournament on Wednesday. I am proud to say that we won the tournament and the children not only played superbly but also represented the school with enthusiasm and brilliant behaviour. Well done!

Have a lovely weekend.

Have you signed up to follow us @brackenleas1? Every week we use social media to keep parents and carers informed about what is happening at our school. Our Twitter feed is the simplest way for you to receive up to the minute information, photos, links and notifications. It is also FREE to use. Twitter is our preferred method of communication for this reason. The alternative is text messages to parents which incurs considerable cost to the school each year. Please Click here to follow a few simple steps and sign up to follow us on Twitter. Make us a favourite and receive instant notifications every time we Tweet. In this way you can help us minimise the cost of expensive text options.

Our Twitter Feed can also be viewed ‘live’ on the school website Home Page and News Page.
