School Closure Communication

As a result of last night’s snow fall there has been some confusion this morning about whether or not we are open. As per our School Snow Procedures, parents should assume that we are open unless they have received specific communication direct from Bracken Leas stating otherwise. Information will be posted on our school website, Twitter and ParentMail as soon as any decision has been made by us. Other schools may take a decision to close but this is an individual decision to be taken by each school.

Parent View Questionnaire

On Wednesday of last week we sent a ParentMail to all parents and carers asking you to complete a Parent View Questionnaire. A huge thank you to all of you have already completed one. If you have mot managed to do so already, please could you spare around 10 minutes to fill one in. Your responses will help us to understand your views on our school and assist us in our forward planning process.

Key Stage 1 Classroom Access

Please can parents and carers allow enough space for the children to safely exit their classrooms at the end of the day. This will ensure that everyone safely gets to the person taking them home.

Twitter

Have you signed up to follow us @brackenleas1? Every week we use social media to keep parents and carers informed about what is happening at our school. Our Twitter feed is the simplest way for you to receive up to the minute information, photos, links and notifications. It is also FREE to use. Twitter is our preferred method of communication for this reason. The alternative is text messages to parents which incurs considerable cost to the school each year. Please Click here to follow a few simple steps and sign up to follow us on Twitter. Make us a favourite and receive instant notifications every time we Tweet. In this way you can help us minimise the cost of expensive text options.

Our Twitter Feed can also be viewed ‘live’ on the school website Home Page and News Page.
