At Bracken Leas we follow an RE curriculum determined by the local Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE), which is responsible for producing the locally agreed syllabus for RE.

By law this must ‘reflect the fact that the religious traditions in Great Britain are in the main Christian, while taking account of the teaching and practices of the other principal religions represented in Great Britain’.

At Bracken Leas we place a great emphasis on learning about and learning from religions. Our RE teaching is inclusive, encouraging all children to ask questions and explore the beliefs and traditions of others.
