Throughout this week we have been undertaking a number of activities as part of our Healthy Heart Week. These activities, planned to coincide with the arrival of our new AED (difibrillator), have been planned with the support of some of our wonderful parents and from a kind donation of funds from FOBL. Huge thanks to them for this.

This week also provided us with a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. Children from all year groups participated in the British Heart Foundation Jump Rope for Heart. Click Here for more information.

You can also donate via Justgiving;

On Monday KS1 attended an assembly to learn more about their hearts, and on Wednesday morning the Key Stage 2 Children attended the second of our Healthy Heart Assemblies. These assemblies were run by Mrs Wright and Mrs Gascoigne, both parents of children in Key Stage 1. During these assemblies the children learned about the function of the heart as well as being given the opportunity to look at a model of a heart and try out the stethoscopes.
