Welcome to this Year’s Sports Crew. The team have worked very hard to tell you more about what they do within Bracken Leas. Here is their story…

We are very excited to have our new Sports Crew from Year 5. We had many eager applications however we could only choose: 2 Marketing, 2 Media and 8 Sports Leaders.

Sports Crew is a group of children who work together every lunchtime to run activities. Every Wednesday lunchtime they gather together (along with Miss Howarth) to discuss any issues. They also run competitions where anybody can join in. This is our new team!

Sports Leaders:

Sports Leaders have the job of deciding and running the activities. They also have to organise the competitions and independently set everything up.

Marketing gives out stickers to children taking part in the activities if they show these traits: respect, passion determination, teamwork, honesty and self-belief. They also record the scores during competitions, create the certificates and then give them out. At the end of the year, the class with the most stickers gets a reward.

Media complete weekly reports about any sport events and competitions. During competitions media takes photos of the children having fun. As well as this, media helps marketing give out the stickers.

We are very happy to have all these enthusiastic individuals helping the school have even better lunchtimes this year.
