Buzzlings and Beelets
Beelets is a parent and toddler group, run by our school. It provides the children with an opportunity to become familiar with the school environment whilst accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is a great community link, helping children learn social skills in a friendly environment. It is also a good opportunity for parents to get know other parents in a friendly and informal setting. Beelets hold two sessions every Monday at 9:00-11:00. It is for children aged two to three.
During your child’s preschool year our second group; Buzzlings allows children to become more familiar with the school routine. Throughout this year children have an opportunity to attend weekly sessions, without a parent or guardian. During the sessions a register is taken, this is followed by activities, including playing outside, and then snack time.
Finally there is story time before going home. These sessions develop the children’s independence, preparing them for a school routine. During the summer term children joining our school in September spend much of their time playing in the Reception classes during their Buzzling sessions. Buzzlings meet every Tuesday from 9:15-11:15 and 1:15-3:15 and is for children aged three to four.
Buzzlings and Beelets are not designated nursery or playgroup sessions and are therefore not subject to inspection or government directives. Attendance at Buzzlings or Beelets does not guarantee the allocation of a fulltime place at Bracken Leas School, and is not accepted as part of the admissions criteria by Northamptonshire County Council Admissions.
